Sea the Past
Sea the Past, Maritime Centre Vellamo’s hour-long general guided tour provides an introduction to the main themes at the Maritime Museum of Finland and the Museum of Kymenlaakso. This inspiring and intriguing tour is sure to set your imagination running – don’t forget to leave time for exploring the exhibitions and your own favourite narratives further.
The general guided tour is available in Finnish, Swedish, English, German and Russian. The maximum recommended group size is 25.
North Star, Southern Cross
The guided tour of the North Star, Southern Cross, the Finnish Maritime Museum’s main exhibition, lasts for one hour and covers the exhibition’s main themes, including the everyday lives of seafarers, both then and now, developments in ship design and engineering, maritime trade, underwater archaeology and winter navigation, a unique feature of northern seafaring.

Terms concerning guided tours
A guided tour can be cancelled without charge two days before the reserved time. The price of a guided tour is charged in full if the tour has not been cancelled by the prescribed time. The guided tour is implemented in the full scope (1 hour) if the group is late from the reserved time by no more than 15 minutes. If the group is late by more than 15 minutes, the guided tour is shortened so that the tour continues for a maximum of 15 minutes beyond the time reserved originally.
