Our customer service attendants will help you with short loan and material requests and other short inquiries. Inquiries can also be sent to tietokeskus(at)merikeskusvellamo.fi.
As for the use of electronic materials and electronic information retrieval, the patrons can request help and they are also entitled to book an appointment with a researcher or information specialist for more comprehensive guidance.
The Information Centre also Provides Education on Information Retrieval.
The patrons can request information retrieval on materials that are not subjected to restriction of use. These requests are liable to charge and fulfilled by information specialists and researchers. These requests are carried out during a personal visit to the Information Centre.
Adult Education Information Desk
The Information Centre houses an information desk of Kyme Koulutuskompassi Education Information Service. Kymen Koulutuskompassi is aimed at adults interested in further education provided by Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences, Kymenlaakso Summer University, and University of Helsinki, Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education. Kyme Koulutuskompassi provides information on studies in universities and universities of applied sciences, ways to gain higher education degrees, and available adult education in Kymenlaakso Region.
Information Desk is Open on Wednesday Evenings at 4 - 6 pm.
