A cinematic journey through countries! Warm Lights Film Fest film event in Kotka is organized for the second time to bring some light into the dark Finnish autumn. This year, the festival will showcase films from Sri Lanka, Finland, Germany, and Brazil, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience diverse stories, perspectives, and cultures from around the world.
The films will be shown in their original languages with English subtitles. The admission to the screenings is free. Before the screenings, there will be short introductions about the film’s theme.
For the Snack & Mingle events that are arranged in between the films, there are free tickets available at Xamk and Vellamo information desks (see information below).
The Warm Lights Film Fest is a cultural event organized by Xamk’s Integration Team in Kotka, in partnership with Maritime Centre Vellamo, to promote cultural awareness and, why not, create new cultural connections.

Information
All films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles.
Admission is free and open to everyone. No tickets are required for the film screenings; entry will be granted subject to venue capacity.
Free tickets for the Snack & Mingle event can be collected from the information desks at Xamk and Maritime Centre Vellamo during their regular opening hours. Free e-tickets will also be available through the Kide app (limit: 50 attendees).
